Winter has come
No doubt about it, winter is here. Heck, we even saw a few ice-fisherman out on the lake already.. and some open water too by the way. Yesterday there was plenty of open ground on the trails. Today we’re getting a couple inches of snow and a storm bringing 8-12 more inches is predicted for Wednesday. I’m sure that will make lots of anxious skiers happy. Mirror Lake State Park as you know, has some really fantastic ski trails. I’ve posted a bunch of photos from yesterday (Dec 6, 2009) at Mirror Lake State Park up on our Flickr Stream. Hello! The park looks great and took a couple hours to try out my new snow shoes today… Beautiful
Anyway we were told we could’nt walk on any of the groomed trails, which is almost all of them!!! So where does one enjoy their new or old snow shoes?
Andrea, that is a great question. We run into the same issues at Devil’s Lake. I’ll do a bit of research and come up with some info for you. Stay tuned.
