The Friends of Mirror Lake and Mirror Lake State Park will be hosting their annual Halloween Candlelight Hike on Saturday October 22, 2011 from 6 pm to 8 pm.  This fun family event includes an easy 1 mile torch lit hike. Kids of all ages can help find clues along the way to discover this year’s mystery guest. Then gather around the bonfires for delightful evening with family and friends. There will be snacks and beverages offered by the Friends of Mirror Lake State Park for purchase. This photo was taken this morning (10-11-2010) from the beach at Mirror Lake State Park.  As you can see it’s still pretty colorful but slipping quickly toward brown.    If you want to enjoy fall colors at Mirror Lake we’d suggest that you do it within the next 7 days at most.   Remember too that the Candlelight Mystery Hike is coming up on the 23rd.  Bright the whole family for this fun fall family event!!
